The community is invited to meet our new partners, staff and space, and see first hand all of the wonderful things happening at the Center! As you enjoy the beautiful spring weather and cookies in our courtyard, there will be opportunities to talk to each partner and learn what they do, take a tour of the Center to see the new 4th floor space and check out the old jail space still to be renovated. We will also celebrate our partners who have been at the Center for over 10 years! We look forward to seeing you here!
Saturday, April 14th | Downtown prior to Azalea Festival Parade
Run one of the most unique races in the world, a one-of-a-kind 1 mile run along the Azalea Festival Parade route. The race takes place ahead of the 2018 Azalea Festival Parade in front of an anticipated 50,000 spectators! Proceeds benefit the Harrelson Center! Register now to get a race t-shirt! APRIL 28TH | HARRELSON CENTER
Join us and hundreds of Wilmington volunteers on April 28th to get hands-on in places needed most! Volunteers will help with hands-on project work for 4 hours, 8a-12p with a celebration of our volunteer efforts & community impact immediately follows from 12p-2p.(Stay tuned for celebration details!) .
No specific skills are required to volunteer and all ages are welcome.(Children must be accompanied by an adult.) All you need is a willingness to help and an interest in improving our community!
Many of our Help Hub Member churches are coming together to build a home with our Partner, Cape Fear Habitat for Humaniy! The house, located at 1901 Lingo Street, will be built by First Presbyterian, First Baptist Church, Holy Cross Episcopal, Little Chapel on the Boardwalk Presbyterian, Masonboro Baptist and St. Therese Catholic. We need volunteers in the community to help build!

FIRST TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH | 11 AM - 12 PM
Tours are offered on the first Tuesday of every month at 11:00 a.m. We gather in the main lobby on the 2nd Floor of the center. The tour lasts about 45 minutes, and afterwards many visitors like to walk to their favorite downtown Wilmington restaurant for lunch. Touring the Center is a great way to learn about what we do, meet our partners, check out the old jail, and find out more about volunteer opportunities! Call 910-343-8212 or email Lindsay to RSVP. More than 300 community leaders gather each year at the Golden Hammer Breakfast for networking, inspiration and breakfast -- all in support of Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity's affordable housing mission! Join us for an hour-long fundraiser, where you will hear the stories of Habitat homeowners, and how safe, stable housing as transformed their lives.

Be the Light Youth Community Service project will provide birthday boys and girls a thoughtfully created birthday bag to celebrate their special day with a cake,candles, card, and present. Birthday Bags will be distributed through Catholic Charities Capes and Tiaras Birthday Club to children living in poverty.
If you would like to contribute, please deliver cake mix and pans, candles, frosting, sprinkles, and toys to the Harrelson Center by April 12th or to Help Hub Churches.

The UpScale ReSale & Design Challenge is in its fourth year, and is Wilmington’s most creative interior design competition. This 2-day fundraising event brings together local design firms who are challenged to utilze ReStore resources to upcycle, recycle, and repurpose donated items into beautiful vignettes.
