    Many of our Help Hub Member churches are coming together to build a home with our Partner, Cape Fear Habitat for Humaniy! The house, located at 1901 Lingo Street, will be built by First Presbyterian, First Baptist Church, Holy Cross Episcopal, Little Chapel on the Boardwalk Presbyterian, Masonboro Baptist and St. Therese Catholic. We need volunteers in the community to help build!

Explore the vast amount of resources at the Center and meet all of our nonprofit partners and participate in special tours of the active nonprofit space and old jail before it transforms into a Community Annex.

    Support over 10 nonprofits in ONE DAY at our 2nd annual collaborative fundraiser and golf tournament. This FUN day of golf includes lunch, live music, awards, a hole in one car, & an exciting raffle. Click here for details!

  • 7th annual thankful hearts luncheon

    Thursday, November 16th at 11:30 am  |  FBC Activities Center

    Our annual Thankful Hearts Luncheon provides significant funding to operate our centralized humanitarian services campus of nonprofit organizations that bring hope, opportunity, and empowerment to our community.  We gather together the week before Thanksgiving for a heartwarming and delicious Middle of the Island lunch to welcome the spirit of the season.

  • TourS of the Center


    Tours are offered on the first Tuesday of every month at 11:00 a.m. We gather in the main lobby on the 2nd Floor of the center. The tour lasts about 45 minutes, and afterwards many visitors like to walk to their favorite downtown Wilmington restaurant for lunch. Touring the Center is a great way to learn about what we do, meet our partners, check out the old jail, and find out more about volunteer opportunities! Call 910-343-8212 or email Lindsay to RSVP.   • catholic charities "drive out hunger" golf outing

    Monday, June 11 at North Ridge Country Club, Raleigh

    10:30 AM Registration Opens/ 1:00 PM Shotgun Start

    Join Catholic Charities for their Inaugural "Drive Out Hunger" Golf Outing benefiting Catholic Charities food pantries across the Diocese of Raleigh at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh. across the diocese each year. Proceeds from this Golf Outing will be utilized to help families put a meal on the table when funds run low.  REGISTER HERE

    This spectacular black tie event will be held on Friday, October 5th 2018 at the Coastline Convention Center in Historic Downtown Wilmington. The primary goal of this occasion is to raise enough funds to continue to pursue their mission…to love and empower victims of domestic violence. Click here for details

  • Be the adult barnyard dance barbecue

    September 15, 2018 at Marker 137

    Be the Adult's Inaugural fundraiser, the Barn Dance Barbecue, will be held on September 15th, 2018 at beautiful Marker 137 overlooking Masonboro Island. This will be a casual, yet festive night of friends coming together to hear music by Folkstone Stringband, enjoy square dancing and feast on delicious barbecue. The fundraiser will allow Be the Adult to publish more books for practicing parenting skills to give to parents, nonprofits, and schools for free in New Hanover County. Please consider sponsoring or attending!
