  • TourS of the Center


    Tours are offered on the first Tuesday of every month at 11:00 a.m. We gather in the main lobby on the 2nd Floor of the center. The tour lasts about 45 minutes, and afterwards many visitors like to walk to their favorite downtown Wilmington restaurant for lunch. Touring the Center is a great way to learn about what we do, meet our partners, check out the old jail, and find out more about volunteer opportunities! Call 910-343-8212 or email Lindsay to RSVP.   • 6th Annual Day in the County

    April 25, 2019 Join us for a Day in the County taking place right outside Wilmington at beautiful Genteel Plantation in Atkinson, NC. The day's activities include skeet shooting, archery, fishing, home and property tours, and a country lunch. We end the day with dog demonstrations and awards at the pond.

    October 14, 2019 Teeing Off with the Harrelson Center & Partners golf tournament is a collaborative event with our Partners who may secure sponsors and golfers for their own fundraising opportunities, with all logistics coordinated by the Harrelson Center Staff.

    Our annual Thankful Hearts Luncheon provides significant funding to operate our centralized humanitarian services campus of nonprofit organizations that bring hope, opportunity, and empowerment to our community.  We gather together the week before Thanksgiving for a heartwarming and delicious lunch to welcome the spirit of the season.

    Jan. 12 @ 9:00 am Expo; 12-2 PM Races

    Need a jump start to your New Year’s Resolution? Join UWCFA and WECT for the Get Fit with 6 Race and Expo at the Coastline Convention Center. The expo will have entertainment, presentations, and expert specialists helping our community stay fit for the rest of the year! Races include a 5K and 1 mile Fun Runs for kids and adults.

    Journey to Heal Ministries will be offering their next seven week Journey to Heal Women's Group starting Tuesday, January 15th, from 6:30-8:30 PM, Port City Community Church.
