    Join us for special summer tours at the Center! Tour for one hour learning about the Center and all that we do while your kids enjoy fun activities, popsicles and more! Get the kiddos to color this COLORING PAGE and bring it with you for us to display at the Center! Call 910-343-8212 to RSVP or email Lindsay.

    Tours are offered on the first Tuesday of every month at 11:00 a.m. We gather in the main lobby on the 2nd Floor of the center. The tour lasts about 45 minutes, and afterwards many visitors like to walk to their favorite downtown Wilmington restaurant for lunch. Touring the Center is a great way to learn about what we do, meet our partners and find out more about volunteer opportunities! For parking information and directions click here.

    Join us at Flytrap Brewing for Pints for a Purpose to benefit The Harrelson Center on September 14th from 5-8PM! Come enjoy the delicious Catch food truck and live music! $1 of every beer goes to the Harrelson Center for Partner benefits.

    The most recent addition to Operation Pretty Things: The OPTea Parties! This day and age, we are all so busy. We recognize how difficult it can be to make it to our events due to work, family and other obligations. So we are bringing the events to you! In the comfort of your home, and with your friends and family, we make gifts, share stories, and have an opportunity to see and be OPT in action. NOW BOOKING for the Summer!

  • a safe place day in the life luncheon

    Friday, August 18th from 12 - 1 PM

    You are invited to attend our 5th annual "A Day in the LIfe" luncheon which will be held at the Coastline Convention Center on Friday, August 18th from 12-1pm. This is the annual fundraiser for A Safe Place, which is an empowerment organization that focuses on prevention, advocacy, and restoration to assist victims of commercial sexual exploitation and domestic minor sex trafficking.

    Peers in the workforce helps transform the recovery health services system with their unique skills and "been there" experience. It is engaging and fun, challenging and transformative, holding the high expectation that people with significant challenges can overcome them and succeed at the highest level. 

    The Peer Employment Training focuses on:

    • Developing peer support skills for use in the workplace
    • The exploration and development of personal recovery
    • Supporting individuals in recognizing their strength, possibilities and accountability as certified peers. A certificate is issued at completion of the course.
