Each summer, Soaring As Eagles hosts dozens of 3- to 5-year olds for PreK Jumpstart, as well as their parents, grandparents and guardians for lunch-and-learns.
“The impact is amazing,” says Kim Caesar, executive director and founder of Soaring As Eagles. “The stories we hear about how the child no longer has social anxiety and has learned
relationship building skills. It’s just so powerful to see what six weeks can do for a child.”
Soaring As Eagles counts on fellow HC Partners to achieve this impact: Yoga Village drops in to demonstrate calming skills. Cape Fear Latinos shares a few Spanish language lessons. Family Support Services and A Safe Place deliver Lunch-n-Learn programs for parents and guardians. The result is a program, now four years strong, that prepares Title 1 families with skills and confidence to thrive during early education years.
