A young woman, raised locally by her grandparents after her mom died when she was 12, is now raising her 2 children with her husband, an electrician, in that same home. Her grandmother passed and her grandfather has dementia.
They are paying the mortgage on the family home that remains in her grandparents’ name. When the roof needed repairs and the washer and dryer needed replacing, they fell behind on payments.
Help Hub assisted with mortgage and coordinated resources. The Salvation Army assisted with utilities and Financial Protection Law Center offered further guidance.
This family will remain in a safe and loving home, investing in future generations.
