Meade began as Executive Director on December 1, 2016. Meade comes to us after 21 years at Pitney Bowes, Inc. and is involved in the community through her church, The Ministering Circle, the Community Counseling Center board and much more. Meade holds a BA in Mass Communication/Media Studies from UNC Chapel Hill and a MBA Business Administration and Management from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Lindsay Prickett joined the Harrelson Center team in February 2017. Lindsay and her family attend First Baptist Church Wilmington where Lindsay serves as Chair of the the Children’s Ministry Committee and she teaches Sunday School. Email Lindsay.

HELP HUB DIRECTOR
Sonja volunteered with the outreach program at St. James Episcopal Church for many years. As the Help Hub Director, Sonja coordinates volunteers and the daily activities of the Help Hub. Sonja works part-time at The Harrelson Center and also works as a care coordinator.

Christy will serve as the liaison and information specialist educating and engaging our community, Harrelson Center nonprofit partners, neighbors, and volunteers for centralized and efficient collaboration. Christy joined the Center in March 2018 and was previously the Interim Worship Director at First Baptist Church, in sales, and in many volunteer roles with organizations in our community. Christy graduated from Appalachian State University with degrees in Psychology and music. She moved to Wilmington in 1996 where she met her husband, Austin Aley, who was the Harrelson Center 2017 Board President. They have two growing boys, Jack and Banks, and they enjoy adventurous family vacations. Email Christy.

Margee Herring

Margee is an accredited PR professional and has been providing media and community relations guidance to her clients throughout the Carolinas for the past 30 years. She's also served on several nonprofit boards: Carousel Center, Coastal Horizons and GLOW Academy, where she still serves as the PR board member. That is to say, she is delighted to pull her PR savvy, media network and devotion to the region's non profits together in her new position as part time Director of PR for The Harrelson Center.

Aaron and his wife live in Porter’s Neck with their two children. They moved here in 2018 from Asheville, NC. Aaron has a decade of experience working in the non-profit sector in many different capacities but always with a focus on alleviating poverty, ending homelessness and providing space for community volunteers to share their gifts.

Anthony Parker
Finance Manager
Anthony started as the Finance Manager in August 2023. He brings a wealth of non-profit experience having worked with an Eastern North Carolina hospital; the North Carolina Smart Start program; an Economic Development Agency serving Head Start, HUD Section 8 housing and NC Community Service Block Grant; and a domestic violence agency. He holds a BS in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Anthony and his husband have lived in Wilmington for 10 years, along with their two furry felines, Buffy and Sophie.

Marketing Coordinator
Haley started in March 2023 as the Marketing Coordinator, though her first involvement at the HC was as a Help Hub Advisor in 2019, when she and her husband, Gavin, first moved to Wilmington. Haley is passionate about nonprofit work and creativity. When Haley is off campus, you'll likely find her with Hoggard's XC and Unified T&F Teams, FBC Student Ministry, playing board games, or reading with her pup at her side. Email Haley.
